Distance isn't always a factor when it comes to friendship, music, or relation so discovers the partnership that is Profunda-Rock. Using myspace as the sole musical stomping ground, singer/songwriter David Howard of Tennessee and lyricist Valerie Clark of Michigan, sealed the gap of miles between them and began the journey of a lifetime. Discovering the hidden meanings of life and love, this songwriting team will make you search your soul through the sensitive melodies and lessons learned within the lyrics. "It's all about getting the music out there and all about how the music makes you feel as an artist or a listener," agrees David and Valerie. "It should make a person think, feel, reach inside, and stir the emotions of the heart." The year 2008 had brought about many changes in my life, but one of the best things to have happened to me was when David picked me up as his lyricist. He and I have been working together since February of 2008, and in that time, he and I have become the greatest of friends/like-family despite the fact of living in separate states. In May of 2009, my fiancee and I made the trip from Michigan to Wartburg, Tennessee to meet David in person, and that was a weekend to remember. It's been quite a journey working with David, and I'm very proud to announce that we have released our first cd!! The recording is called Profunda-Rock "Acoustic Journey". More or less, David hands me a "song title" to work with, and I'll write him the lyrics based on whatever title he gives me. When I turn the lyrics back over to him, he writes in melody and music whatever he feels is residing between my lines. It's the classic long-distance writing team scenario. I hope you enjoy the cd as much as he and I enjoyed writing it and putting it out there...
