Damn those ducks
So I'm going strong on the TSH!Brendonfic (it has Cablings! it is nearly 6k long! the end was in sight!!!), and then I realized that there was a distinct lack of ducks and that I had to remedy this. I started poking around, looking up some stuff (I do a scary amount of research for idle, silly, not!fic, honestly), and one thing led to another thing led to another and now there is an ALIEN in addition to ducks, which is great, hey, aliens are what this universe is about, right?
Only the alien means at least another 1,000-1,500 words before I get to the end, instead of 500. And I have no idea how to deal with said alien, because it's REALLY BIG.
Sigh. Maybe Sarah Jane will just have to show up and save the day.
Or Ryan will build something snazzy-new.
