Shootings and Guy Fawkes and Babies

Wow the last couple days has been crazy.

Yesterday was Guy Fawkes day.  Wish I'd had time to watch V for Vendetta, but alas, I had a busy afternoon.

So the shooting yesterday... how sad. My brother-in-law is stationed there, so for a while I was kinda freaking out, but my husband got a text from him yesterday afternoon and he was fine. When I called his dad to confirm that he was stationed there, he told me Joe's wife was in labor. She still is, last I heard. Dilated to 3 (I'm assuming centimeters) and epidural has been applied. But I'm getting ahead of myself, here... it was a crazy coincidence, I think. Not only that it was on the 5th of November, but that she went into labor the same day. Poor guy was stuck there for a while, but I was told he was on his way down here last night.

So then there's ANOTHER shooting in Orlando... and no one knows exactly what's going on with THAT yet.  Crazy, crazy.  Makes me wonder what, if anything, is coming next?

On a happier note, a couple in the church offered to lend us some much-needed moneys for our utility bill so we won't get cut off. Just one of those situations that the bill came due between paydays and we were short.  I have to mention that Nathan had been praying for God to provide for us a certain amount so we could go out to eat tonight for the College Career meeting, and the amount she offered us was exactly ten times what he'd been praying for. I thought that was neat. :)  I think God sometimes puts these little coincidences in our lives to remind us that He's the one who's really in control. :)  We should be able to pay them back next week, which is also awesome.
