WTF mates?
So, in the 14 years I've lived here, we've gotten direct hits by two, count 'em TWO hurricanes... and only one was still a hurricane when it hit us (and that was only two weeks ago).
Now they're saying Frances is gonna hit us... and be a category 5 at that time. Shit. When it rains, it pours... figuratively speaking, of course.
Everyone thinks we get hit by hurricanes ALL the time... we don't. We get STORMS all the time... but not hurricanes. I don't want to get hit by TWO in one season when at this time I've been hit by two EVER.
Well. To be precise, I got hit by Charley in Central Florida. I'll be getting hit by Frances (if it keeps the current path, which, of course, there's a good chance it won't, but still) in North Florida. Still sucks.
On another Charley note- parts of Kissimmee STILL don't have power, and they're saying it could be up to six MONTHS before they get all the debris collected from in front of people's houses.
