We've posted this to hislittletrace, but it's too horrifyingimportant not to let the rest of the fandom know. So, last night Katie and I went on a little Trace fact-finding mission and found this horrifying bit of info in a 1999-ish bio of Trace:

How he got that Nickname: "I sound like a cowboy, but I don't dress like one, so JC said I'm a space cowboy. And space rhymes with Trace, so everyone started calling me that."
YOU MEAN TO TELL US THAT JC WROTE A SONG ABOUT SEX WITH TRACE?! We've decided it was JC's attempt to tell Justin to start fucking Trace. Sample lyrics to prove this claim:

So, while it's possible that the song is not actually urging Justin to have gay sex with Trace (what, I'm not *that* delusional), you gotta give that it's a pretty interesting coincidence that *JC* dubbed Trace "Space Cowboy" and then went on to write a song by the same name...where they HUMP MECHANICAL BULLS. I'm just saying, yo.
