Halloween Weekend

Well this weekend was interesting …

Friday I got a tattoo …

We went to Tat-2-Majik and we saw Marie, Irene, and Rachel there. Irene was getting her belly button pierced! Marie had just gotten a tattoo, so I was talking to her while Pat (my tattoo-guy) was drawing my design.  I was a little nervous, well, a lot nervous, I was holding Chris’s hand and it got pretty sweaty … it didn’t hurt nearly as bad as I thought, it just burned like a bad sunburn, and it was very uncomfortable.  Kellie wants one now! Haha. I really like it, but it still is a little sore, especially when I have to rub the bacitracin on it.  I might eventually go back and get it filled in ... I already have a couple ideas if I decide to do it.

Then we had to meet for the Torchlight Parade where we ended up at the huge bonfire. It was so much bigger than last year. All last week they were doing this thing were you could trade in t-shirts from other universities for a SFA Homecoming shirt, they put all the other t-shirts in the bonfire and burned them. We played, but it kind of sucked. My hip was sore so I just came home and crashed.

Yesterday morning was lovely. It had rained and the humidity was 150% and we had to march, in full uniform mind you, in the Downtown Parade.  Something must be wrong with me, but I can’t ever march in step to the fight song … let me tell you, getting sweat in a fresh tattoo doesn’t feel good, AT ALL. We got back and Kellie and I went for a quick lunch at McDonalds and ran to the Coliseum where we were meeting for the game.  The game was horrible.  It was like 95 degrees at the end of October, and I might have had more fun if I didn’t feel like I was going to pass out the entire game.  We played our arch-rivals, Sam Houston State University (what the hell is a bearcat?). I twisted my knee during the Appalachian Spring show and we lost 31-28. There was a huge fight between both football teams after the game, the whole rivalry is stupid, but it was entertaining to watch.

After the game I had to go chat with my family for a while, and then took a long, much needed shower.  Chris, Heidi, and I went to Lufkin for dinner at Applebee’s and headed back here to attend the Tuba Punch party.  It was a lot of fun; the punch was rather good I might add.  The Everclear soaked cherries were pretty good.  It was all a big blur.  But I woke up this morning with a rather massive headache, and from what I have been told by first experience with a hangover.  That part wasn’t fun. All in all, the good canceled out the bad this weekend.  I’m lounging around today, not really in the mood to do anything else.  Have a good week, later.

XOXO
