Hearing Loss Diary, Part Two

Jun 15, 2005 20:57

At work, I misheard the following. What was actually said in normal, how I heard it in bold.
  • Poem = Phone
  • Keys = Teeth
  • Defective = Defunctive

Futher Evidence:
  • I could not understand what Jimmie's mother was saying in the next room.
  • I could not understand the dialouge in Batman where Alfred was talking to a young Bruce Wayne after his parents had died, or something.
  • I didn't realize my cell phone was ringing (the ring was on medium volume) until Jimmie pointed it out to me.
  • When I lay down with the left side of my head on my pillow, I don't notice any sound. When I turn over with my left ear facing up, I can hear the fan in my window and my computer's fan.
  • I've gotten repeatedly frustrated in soccer when I couldn't hear what the hell Coach was saying, and told me I was doing something wrong.

As always, more to come. As things come up, I'll be adding to this diary of mine to bring to my ENT/Audiology appointment.
