National Treasure ROCKS

First, here's

My username is clarinelf because I'm very into music and fantasy-things involving elves (especially Tolkien elves). My dland name was clarinerd, but I decided I liked my adaptation of that made-up word better.

My journal title is "last night she said 'oh baby i feel so down . . . and i don't know why'" because I really love that line by the Strokes. It describes how I feel sometimes very well. Plus, when you go to read individual entries, it says "last night, she said - entry title". How cool is that?

My journal name is Amy, because I am uncreative like that.

My friends page is called "Jenny was a friend of mine" because I like to steal lyrics from cool bands. In this case it's the Killers.

My default userpic is Julian Casablancas of the Strokes with the words "I try but you see it's hard to explain" on it. Again, I'm a lyric-stealing whore, and it's an explanation of not being able to put something into words - something I have trouble with a lot, thus my overuse of the word "thing". Or the phrases "the thing with the thing" and "the place with the thing and the thing . . ."

And now for some exciting news: I broke my non-movie-seeing streak last night with Melissa and Jeanetta, seeing National Treasure. I swear, Disney keeps making these live-action movies that I love. First Pirates, now this. It's awesome.

I enjoyed the mystery and adventure aspects of the movie, as well as the historical stuff. Not that I liked suffering through AP US last year, but it turns out that people who write screenplays know about that history stuff, too. How interesting. But yeah, I thought it was cool to know about the historical stuff they were talking about - otherwise it probably wouldn't have been so great.

But yeah. Nicholas Cage was excellent, and there was this hilarious character, Riley. If he was a real person, I'd most definitely have a crush on him. And Sean Bean was a brilliant evil British dude. His character was a total jerk, but I tolerated him because Sean was Boromir. Weird logic, I know.

Oh well. I still need to work out tonight, so I'm off!
