The List Seven Songs You're Into Right Now meme, yoinked from yorkiegurl.

1. Jingle Jangle - Hot Hot Heat
This song is extremely catchy, and that's how I first got into it. Then, after listening to it for a while, it hit me that this song is a musical version of Death of a Salesman. It's amazing!

Another day, another night, another year
Another smile, another lie, another tear
This better not be all I got
I never thought I'd end up here

2. First Day of My Life - Bright Eyes
This is just . . . pure love song. Bright Eyes is always good for angst, but this is one of the few that's good for happy-mood times.

So if you want to be with me
With these things there’s no telling
We just have to wait and see
But I’d rather be working for a paycheck
Than waiting to win the lottery

3. Here is Gone - Goo Goo Dolls
The Goo Goo Dolls are one of my favorite groups; the other day I listened to Gutterflower for the first time in months, and this song just struck me in the right place.

And I want to get free, talk to me
I can feel you falling
And I wanted to be all you need
Somehow here is gone

4. Over Thinking - Relient K
Relient K is good stuff. Period. The CD this one comes from, Two Lefts Don't Make A Right . . . But Three Do, is good running music.

'Cause i think way too much
On a one track mind
And you're so out of touch
Cause I'm so far behind
I'm trying to make sense
Out of all of this
While your fading scent
Just slips through my grip

5. She Says - Howie Day
I like the version on Australia better than the version on his latest CD. Howie Day's voice is so entrancing.

Cold winter on the shore
Chills the dress she wore
It's on the floor
Still it feels so warm tonight

6. Up Around the Bend - Creedence Clearwater Revival
I stole my dad's CCR cd's the other day, after listening to this song in Sara's car. "Proud Mary" is awesome, but I think I like this one even better.

You can ponder perpetual motion,
Fix your mind on a crystal day,
Always time for a good conversation,
There's an ear for what you say.

7. Making a Killing - Phantom Planet
This song is good for when I need to vent. I like it because it questions money versus job satisfaction.

You'll have to answer up for
What you want and what that means
That's the difference between
Breaking the bank and just breaking even
Making a living and making a killing

This was a cool meme - but I've been itching for some new music lately. I'd really appreciate some good recs!
