a/n: (FINAL CHAPTER) I'm sorry that this is so abrupt of an ending for anyone who WAS reading this... but I only know of what...2....3 readers? I also got really bust at the time of the previous chapter and I couldn't find any inspiration after that. So.... I fastforwarded.... This was my first chaptered fic anyway so it didn't go how I wish it would've....sorry.... If I write another one, hopefully it doesn't end as horribly as this one. Anyway.....
I could feel arms being wrapped around my body. I could feel a warmth that I hadn't felt in a while. I could feel everything being pieced back together. I could feel a second heartbeat. I could feel warm breath against my ear.
I could hear whispers of sorry in my ears. I could hear the rustling of the blankets being moved. I could hear the break of a heart. I could hear the harmony of tears.
I could see Choi Minho. I could see him crying, hugging me, his lips moving to form words. I could see how bad he had felt.
“I'm so sorry,” He kept whispering to me over and over.
“Are you okay now?” I asked him. His eyes looked up at mine and broke. More tears fell down his face as more started to pool at the bottom of his eyes.
“I'm so sorry, Taemin.” He whispered.
“I forgive you.” I said to him. His tears stopped and he looked as if he did. “You were drunk. But you're fine now, right?” He didn't respond so I hugged him back.
“I didn't mean to hurt you. Really.” He told me.
“I know, Minho.”
When I woke up, my room was filled with sunlight. My memories of that time are becoming fuzzy now. I had to work hard to change not a country, but a single heart. When it worked, everyone was saved. But now instead of focusing on that past, I can focus on my future with him.
Minho is no longer in power and we are back in a democracy. The country is happier and have become a world power and is highly thought of across the world. Our education is great and there are very few homeless and jobless people.
My friends and I were all reunited and everyone is now married. We all have children too. Our hair has turned to turn gray as our grandchildren start to have their own kids. We're together as one big huge family luckily.
As it's been 10 years since we last saw each other, our regathering is today. Though I can't predict the future, I can expect it all to be wonderful as I don't have much time left anyway. Bless our country. Bless our kids. Bless our life. In all honesty, it was better than I thought.
