Things I won't miss about Cambridge/Boston:
*Living kitty-corner to the fire station and their incessant sirens and alarms, along with the sirens of everything ELSE that comes blasting through here
*Additional noise of all this construction. Worse than Ithaca, much worse!
*The crime against humanity that is known as the WILG kitchen. Every time I see a sponge wading at the bottom of a food-infested sink, I want to hurl, not to mention that I'm tempted to go on a summer-long fast every time I personally witness someone stick a dish or cup, rinsed very briefly or often not at all, in the tray of dishes waiting to be steamed (read: NOT washed, soap must be used PRIOR to this step).
Things I'll miss: just about everything else.
So the presentation went fine. The laser pointer evidenced my slightly shaking hand, but I had so much to talk about and was so familiar with most of it that the 20 minutes passed easily. Yet, it also seemed to go out with a whimper rather than a bang. Especially now that I have this extremely short paper to do before I'm done, but as with any case after I finish a big task and find a lesser one waiting for me, I have no inclination to do the lesser one.
I leave Saturday morning and will be back in the Web around dinnertime.
On a completely different note, someone should tell me if
this requires you to have the app or not :D.
More to come...
