So I now have a copy of Stella Street on DVD. I loved it when it was on telly, and the little bit I've just watched is still funny. The Rolling Stones who run the corner shop are off on their world tour, so leave David Bowie in charge. He wants to make some "Ch, ch, ch, changes!"
Classic!
If you've never seen it, it's basically Phil Cornwell (from Dead Ringers), and John Sessions doing lots of impressions of famous people, but the thing is all these famous people live next door to each other on a suburban street in Surrey.

The Corner Shop. Note the sign is the sticking out tongue!

Mick tries to remember the words to Jumping Jack Flash, while Keith tests him with the Rolling Stones song book. "I was born across the road from my Nan!"

David Bowie gets shown round the shop, as the Mick and Keith prepare to go on their world tour. Note Keith's scotch bottle. Apparently according to Keith, running a shop is "as easy as falling out of a car!". In light if recent events, surely car should be replaced with tree!!!
