I love Jenny Lewis. Don't get me wrong. She's super talented and adorable... but she's everywhere!!
Every magazine I've picked up in the past two months has had something about her in it.
-Under the Radar
-Rolling Stone
-Paste
-Marie Claire
-Glamour
-Teen Vogue
-Jane
-Bust
Even newspapers like SF Weekly and THE ONION had articles about Jenny Lewis in them. This is fine, cool... whatever, but what I'm wondering is, where is The Elected in all of this?! Their new album came out the SAME DAY as J.L.'s but it hasn't been getting 1/4 of the press. Also, they're on tour with Stars. Their album is just as good as Jenny's and, Blake's a dreamboat, if I do say so myself. This has me befuddled. They were both child stars, they're both in Rilo Kiley, and it seems like The Elected's music is much more accessible to the masses than Jenny's gospel soul folk stuff. I'm not saying I'm not a fan, I'm just confused.
