I am disappoint.

I am a little disappointed right now. As we all (I) know History released their music video for "Psycho" this morning, which was a pretty well done video, but that's not what I am going to focus on today. Imma do a little diss on the lyrics.
Disclaimer: I am not bashing on the members of History, since they didn't take part in writing these song lyrics. This one goes out to the songwriter(s) who made this song. And that sounded cheesy? *sigh*

So this song is about a person who has just gone through a break up, becomes a "psycho" and stalks their former lover or something. The lyrics are downright creepy and I don't like the vibes this song sends off. Here are a few lines from the song, translated from korean to english, that I will use to further explain what I mean.

Did you think you'd be done with me if we broke up? Well, you thought wrong *creepy face*
Don't say no, we both know that's not how you really feel
Nobody is going to believe you, they will think there is no way I could do something like this
Don't try to stop me, I can't hold it back anymore

Doesn't that sound like what a stalker/rapist would say? It's a clear example. And I fucking hate it. Mental illness is to be taken seriously and justifying these behaviours in a song is not okay, especially not when the song is performed by a favorite band of mine.

Now the concept in general for this comeback is "romantic psycho".
??????wtf??????
Having a psychological disorder is not romantic, there is nothing romantic about violating someone's rights and safety. DAMMIT LOEN WHY? And since this song portrays them as stalkers that will potentionally rape a past lover, I am not happy. There is also a lot of fans who are reacting to the obvious ableism in this song, which I can understand. I am seriously judging their management for choosing this irrational concept, more thought and consideration should have been put into the songmaking and the concept in general. As much as I like this song (except for the lyrics) it kind of alludes on rape culture, which is a big fat STOP DROP AND ROLL every day of the week. Just, no.

I still love History and Kyungil is still a hot bias-list wrecking son of a gun that I hate love, despite him being old and all. The song and performance is still extremely good, but someone can go stick the lyrics up their ass. Loen, GO GO GO~! Seriously though, one day I am going to slap Kyungil across the globe because his parts are perfection and he is perfection.

Now let's forget about this disappointment by going back to the beginning and watching episode one of Tory Tory Bang Bang! Yeah!

Everything is History (once again), and it hurts pretty bad. But it's cool, I'm cool. Goodbye!
