My dad is a lunatic

Apr 14, 2009 19:24

My mom just forwarded me an email...apparently my dad wrote CBS because they cancelled guiding light, which he tapes every day and watches on his stationary bike after work, before making dinner. It's a routine. He defies gender roles. i.e he is the woman of the house.

It's okay to laugh )

LOL it's kind of hilarious, no? I'm sure I've spoke about my dad's inherent ability to write mean letters to companies who cross him in some way or another.

Your dad is awesome. Tell him I highly rec General Hospital. It's got Mobsters, Doctors, rich Princes, and rivaling families. I'm thoroughly addicted, lol.

I know what it's like to get a favorite show cancelled, so props to your dad for writing a letter- that's what I do too.

I think he watches that sometimes actually! He tunes in to them all on his vacation days. His other favorite is as the world turns. Is that still on?

I'm glad you write letters too! It used to embarrass me, he did it so much, but it's funny and awesome now :)

How are you doing this week my dear?

lol, Yeah, I think ATWT is still on too.

I always had such a temper- I couldn't let things go, so I'd write to companies, restaurants, the newspapers, etc... when I'd get pissed at something, lol.

I'm hangin' in there. How are you? I see you're having some trouble deciding where to go to Grad School. Is that not something you really want to do yet?

Will the weekend bring relief??

I have to choose an anthropology program at a grad school to not send a resume and cover letter to that I need to write up, and even though it's all for practice and I get points simply for doing it, I can't pick a school/program because--even though i don't even want to go to grad school--I want to be in OR or WA after DePaul and the programs at the schools in OR or WA are not very good. I know, I know, I should just pick Northern Arizona like everyone else, but the idea of pretending to apply to grad school in NOT OR or WA, but Northern Arizona, makes me not able to get started.
Oh my god, I am insane.

♥ simply for reading that.
