White Christmas, here I come!! So happy. Even if it means a two hour wait at Union Station for my late train, a 14.5 hour train ride that was supposed to take under 8 hours, and arriving home at 7:15am this morning! Crazy!
The engine derailed 300 feet from the St Paul station, so a bus had to take us the rest of the way for liability reasons. Utterly ridiculous day. I took it all in stride (unlike some) and laughed when I might have cried. Or fumed. I slept a total of 2 hours on the train, didn't eat, didn't pee!, but can't seem to make myself go to bed. I woke Matt up on accident, so now we are watching The Company in the living room with the CHristmas tree (which actually has presents under it! miracle!). I am happy to be home, happy with my wheat waffle and blueberry breakfast, happy with the beautiful white outside the windows!
I made a goal to not watch any tv for the next 12 days. Library movies are encouraged, of course, but no wasting time with Monk, Ben Stiller Show, Dead Like Me, or any other bullshit waste of tiiiiiime. I'm going to make music and go jogging and walking and visiting chums and baking (today with the family minus Amy plus Betsey!), last minute shopping first thing tomorrow, and enjoy the short time I have at home with friends and family and the holidays. Yay!
I put this movie on my lib queue because James Franco is in it. It's been half an hour and no James Franco! Hmm.
p.s Never listen to Wizard People, Dear Reader in a crowded train station unless you like being stared at after giggling at some of the finer bits of narration and dialogue.
