2006

Yes, it's the time of the year to retrospect.
With the Lord's blessing, 2006 has been an eventful year in a thankfully good manner.

On Married Life (Feb 2006)
Staying together has been easier than expected. While we've had our fair share of tiffs and a major cold war, Hubby has been incredibly patient on a lot of stuff (for which I'm grateful, just in case you're reading ;)
We've also started travelling a bit as a couple (BKK and KL in 2006), looking forward to our San Francisco trip in Jan '07.

On Changing Jobs (Jul 2006)
The exposure has been good - with opportunities to work with global colleagues, as well as engage in more local networking. This is perhaps the greatest advantage moving from a government job. Beginning to like my colleagues and co-workers a little more, making worklife a little more bearable.
The better paying job also meant that I could give up Saturday tuition. This gave Hubby and I the luxury of sleeping in and meeting family for a leisurely lunch.
My only grouse is that vertical career development will be slower than I'd like it.

On Family
Everyone at home has been given the gift of good health. This is probably the most subtle but precious treasure.

On Being Gu-Gu a second time (Dec 2006)
Not my baby, but I'm nonetheless grateful to see how my brother's family is growing closer together. What's more, the little cutie is beginning to grow on ALL of us.

Thank you Lord.
