a new bin!

since peter and i have been living in our new house we have had a crappy old wheelie bin with no lid, which is annoying cos you cant really put anything out in it before bin day without weighing it down incase stuff gets blown away (particularly when there are cyclones about!). since we're renting its meant to be the owners responsibility to get us a new one, but when we asked about it they basically just said they couldnt be bothered spending the money, and neither can we! so we have been stuck with the old bin, until today when we got home and found a brand new bin waiting for us by the door with a little note attached to it that read:

"Hello resident. The Shire of Roebourne rubbish truck ate your old bin. Please accept this new bin in its place. From your friendly Waste Management team."
