i feel sick

why do the idiots down the hall have to smoke? it fills the hall with a nasty smell, seeps in around our door, and has now permeated the bathroom. yes, teresa and i use airfilters so that we can breathe, but it is not enough. plus, they are noisy and hurt my ears. they make it most difficult to hear anything. also, sometimes the smoke smell is so bad that even with both filters on high, it doesn't do anything about the smell. those little motors are cranking as fast as they can, but the smell is still there. and it is making me sick to my stomach. people wonder why i don't like bars? people wonder why i am so adament about not smoking? well, here's your answer. it's not fully because of the effects cigarettes have on you medically. it's not fully because there is a history in my family of refusing marriage because he was smoking and she didn't want him to (nana refused to marry papa until he stopped having the occasional smoke, of any kind). it's also not fully related to my asthma, which has become weird recently. it's because the smell makes me ill. sick-to-my-stomach, i-want-to-toss-my-cookies (and i am not talking about internet cookies, i'm talking about getting sick). cannot stand the smell. at all. coffee, i don't like the smell of, but i, in theory, could,  get accustomed to it. beer, that smell would be more difficult, but i think i could adjust to the smell of decent (as in, not cheap american) beer. smoking of any kind there is no way in this world or the next. it is sickening.

well, i think that was enough for now. glad i got that squared out. now to figure out the rest of my life.
