Physical Appearance: At first glance, Clara is quite intimidating. Though not exactly towering over anyone (she's just 5'5"), she has strong features and a perfected glare that she utilizes liberally. She prefers to dress formally, and is most often seen in designer pieces and business wear. Clara consciously molds herself into the archetypal Iron Lady in both physical attributes and attitude, and she likes to use her looks and intellect to her advantage.
In dreams, she takes on a different appearance. "Cheryl", as she calls her, is much less intimidating and is usually dressed in casual-wear. In this form, Clara looks much younger due to her relaxed appearance and the lack of makeup.
Personality: Practical and meticulous, her strengths are most evident when she is focused on her extraction work. Clara is excellent at making decisions and assigning jobs to her team based on their observed strengths. As such, she often goes against the norm of keeping the same person in the same roles and likes to reassign them based on the needs of the mission and the condition of her team (to the chagrin of more conservative-minded people in the business).
Clara is usually unimpressed and bored at the things around her. It takes a lot to make her truly angry or happy, and the extraction business is one of those things. Though seemingly responsible (and she is, at least when it comes to protecting her teammates), she lives for thrill and near-death situations, and has no qualms throwing herself into missions that are nigh impossible. Often bored and annoyed by being "ruled over" by others, she delights in completely destroying rules, causing her to almost always occasionally run on the other side of the law.
Cheryl, on the other hand, is usually laid-back and cheerful. She is optimistic, and treats missions like games. Though she has the same leadership skills as Clara, she rarely shows them, preferring to go with the flow. However, this doesn't mean that she'll sabotage the mission. In fact, she follows Clara's plans quite well, at times spontaneously adding her own spin to them (the element of surprise is always a good thing, after all - even if her teammates know nothing about it).

Though personally more inclined to the arts, she nonetheless completed a civil engineering degree. However, having realized afterwards how much she disliked the rule-bound life of an engineer, she sought increasingly morally ambiguous jobs to satisfy herself, eventually igniting her interest in dream related work and extraction.
Through her own connections, Cheryl sought out the most reputable extractors in the hopes of joining their ranks, but was completely dismissed due to her carefree, child-like personality. Angered by their lack of respect, she disappeared from North America only to reemerge a few months later as "Clara".
This time, using the carefully crafted persona tailored especially for the business itself, she managed to convince them to give her a chance. She took this opportunity to impress them with dazzlingly impossible cities and buildings, drawing from her experience and dislike of civil engineering. Soon thereafter, she became an architect, and then an extractor.
An accident during a mission caused her to begin to question which of her personas is her true personality. Eventually, "Clara" became her personality in the real world, and "Cheryl" was relegated to a disjointed existence in the dream world.
