I hate being Sick!!
I have a cold, and I feel so yucky. I really hate being sick, and though it doesn't happen very often, it really annoys me that I'm all weak and sleepy.
I know its been two weeks since my trip, but I think I needed that time to recover before I posted about it!! My quiet weekend visit to Luxembourg (small European Country) turned into a bit of a wild weekend, and a lot of travelling.
One of my best buddies is working over there and I promised her a visit, so I went over thinking it was going to be a nice quiet girls weekend. Friday night was fun. We sat on her couch, with music blaring, plenty of alcohol, and doritos!! We had a lovely catch-up gossip session!! Then she told me about a couple of people from her office who were going to Paris for the weekend, and who were going to Disneyland on the Sunday, and how they had asked her to go, but she had said she couldn't because I was coming over to visit her.....
And of course I suggested we meet them in Disneyland on the Sunday!! Me and alcohol..... what can I say?
So in the end, we decided to go to Paris on the Saturday, and stay in the hotel rooms with the gang from her office, that way we wouldn't have all the driving to do on the Sunday. So a four hour drive from Luxembourg to Paris later we were sitting in their hotel room.
After a rapid dinner in a beautiful Italian restaurant, we found ourselves walking through the streets of Paris looking for a bar/nightclub......
We eventually found an Australian Nightclub, and stayed out till well after three in the morning. I was in Paris on a school tour years ago, but seeing the Eiffel Tower at four in the morning while warped with drink was an experience I won't forget in a hurry!!
Sunday morning found us all bundled into the cars and on the way to Disneyland!! And I do not feel the slightest bit of shame in saying that I acted like a kid for the day!! It was brilliant! I went on loads of rides, and apart from being bitterly cold, I loved every second of it!!!
The drive back to Luxembourg on Sunday night seemed like the longest drive ever, as we were so exhausted and tired, and ariving back at the apartment, I had enough time for a shower and a quick repack of my bag before I was back on the road again!! Two hour bus ride, two hour plane ride after a three hour delay, then another three hour bus ride before I finally reached my bed!!
It was very eventful and busy, but it was great to see my friend, and I will always remember it!!
In other news, I didn't win anything in the Ron/Hermione Awards 2007, but to be honest I don't mind that much. I read the winning fics, and I really think they deserved to win, they were brilliant!! I feel amazed that I was nominated with them!! And the Art!! Wow!! I can't get over the talent of them all!!
