 In the end, we're all alone. People won't come through for you if it doesn't do them good. No one actually listens or puts themselves in your shoes. It doesn't matter what we've learned when we were five. When you're an adult the golden rule goes out the window. For a while, I'll live this way but then I'll forget and I'll get hurt again. and again. 
It's true, you should live and learn and love. Love a lot. Love as often and as much as you can.
But look after yourself. That's what's working for everyone else right?
