People I only have to work with for another 6 and a half days are really pissing me off. I've just had a PHD student come and see me because he said he wasn't able to download a file to a Mac someone else was logged in to or log in himself. English wasn't his first language so i thought it was quicker to go to the machines with him than explain how to do something and then have him come back in 5 minutes because he hadn't done what I'd explained.
we go to the machine. i sit and watch him type in his username and password that he said he'd tried before.
Worked first fucking time.
He tried to download the file. It worked. He tried to unpack the downloaded file. it worked. He ran the installer. it worked.
