ok.
a few things about my situation.
i spent most of march out of town. I went to four new states of the union. they are as follows: connecticut(west hartford), indiana (richmond), rhode island (providence), and virginia (norfolk). now, these are not "new" states. some of them, like virginia, who is having its 400th birthday, are quite old. but, they were new for me. which surprised me, as I have traveled the good ol' USA kind of extensively for my young age.
In these states, I either performed material that was written by someone else, that I was slightly embarrassed of, or by myself y cohorts, which i was slightly afraid to perform for lack of rehearsal. BUT. may i say that all of these things went smashingly well, especially The Men That Got Away's world premier of the NEW Panty Raid at Brown University.
I got to hang out with Kate Bornstein a lot in Providence, you know, talkin' about Zen Pussy and her pugs. Sharin' hugs. Shootin' drugs. (one of those things is not true.) And, excuse me for being thrilled by the cold hard FACT that i got to sit next to her at the lunch table.
in other news, its nearly summer and i went to the laundromat in a tanktop which made me feel very city.
IN OTHER NEWS, and i don't know how many of the ann arborites will still be in ann arbor, but I will be in ann arbor for a few months next winter helping holly create another show with students. and this time, there's money involved. So maybe some kids will still be in town? maybe not.
