Title: Dear Akihito…
Fandom: Viewfinder
Pairings: Asami x Takaba, implied Fei Long x Takaba
Genre: Um.. General?
Rating: PG
Word Count: 546
A very short sequel to ‘ Reversed’ (if you’ve read it), but can also stand alone.

Dear Akihito,

How have you been? I hope you’re fine, because I surely am. After the last incident, Fei-sama never allows me to go anywhere unsupervised anymore. It feels kind of uncomfortable, but I’m not really complaining. It means Fei-sama cares about me, no?

Anyhow, I shouldn’t talk so much about myself or I’ll bore you to death with this letter. Though I have to say that I was really upset when they told me you were sent back to Japan before I got to say goodbye to you.

You know, Hong Kong has been rather quiet without you around. A lot of things have changed. Fei-sama - he’s changed too. He smiles a lot more now. I’m sure you would love to see the changes he has gone through. He has always been beautiful before, but now he is even more striking. No wonder a lot of people keep blushing bright red whenever Fei-sama happens to look their way.

Last night, we had a small argument about his hair. You see, he said he wanted to cut it. I am strictly against Fei-sama cutting his hair! At this point, he’s still contemplating cutting it short. I really don’t want to see Fei-sama with his hair short. For me, it is one of the many traits that makes him unique compared to others. Any ideas on how to persuade him not to?

There is also another thing that I noticed. Fei-sama misses you a lot, Akihito. Occasionally when he wakes up in the morning, he would ask for you - like he forgot that you’re already in Japan. And then he would remember, and he would laugh a little before deciding to stay in bed for the rest of the day, mumbling something about you, Asami-san and ‘gay marriage’. He doesn’t say anything, but I know he misses you a great deal. He might be very good in concealing his feelings and emotion, but when it comes to you, he becomes so predictable. So transparent.

Don’t tell him I wrote that!

I guess I have to pen off now. I think I just heard Fei-sama call my name. Before he finds out about this, I’d better wrap this up. If you ever find the time to come and visit us here, I’d be very happy to have to you over. I’m sure Fei-sama would be happy too. I’m sure he can tolerate even Asami-san for your sake.

Until next time, Akihito!

Your friend,
Tao~

Asami raises an eyebrow at the sight of Takaba Akihito smiling ever so sweetly over whatever is written on the letter he is holding. He is almost tempted to ask if it is some kind of letter Akihito received from a fan. After all, the younger man’s name is escalating in the world of photography. There was a day when he visited Akihito’s house and found the latter buried under a pile of fan mails, struggling to swim to the surface of the mountain of what Asami thinks of as junk.

“Asami?”

“Hmm?” Asami looks up. Akihito looks at him with a softer smile to the one he wore when he read the letter a moment ago.

Akihito’s smile grows. “… What do you say to visiting some friends in Hong Kong?”

Title: Phantom Kisses
Fandom: XXXHOLic
Pairing: 104 Donuts - Doumeki Shizuka x Watanuki Kimihiro
Genre: General, pre-slash
Word Count: 348
Rating: PG-13
Watanuki contemplates the truth about dreams...

Dreams are manifestation of one’s fear and desire; they make their presence clear in one’s sleep and leave the dream owner a distinctive feeling of loss in his wake. Watanuki Kimihiro stopped believing in dreams when he was ten years old, regarding dreams as purely insignificant. He had been too used to false hopes that no dreams enlighten him anymore.

When Himawari talked about her dreams, Watanuki pretended to be interested in what she was talking about while in truth, he was not the least bit interested in what her dreams had to offer. The only thing that drew his attention was Himawari explaining about getting hints of one’s true love via dreams. Every single person walking on this Earth had been predestined to meet their other halves somewhere someday. While Watanuki was not a believer of dreams, he did believe in ‘true love’.

Watanuki almost choked when he remembered hearing loving voice whispering his name over and over in his sleep. He could still remember the tingling sensation of soft lips trailing butterfly kisses all over his skin before finding his lips. He shivered inwardly as he recalled how real the hand that caressed his torso felt in his dream. Phantom kisses, phantom touches - all of those that Watanuki had dismissed as soon as he woke up in the morning.

It was weird, Watanuki thought. Sometimes, when he accidentally touched Doumeki’s hand, a surge of familiarity traveled down his spine. He even wondered why Doumeki’s monotonous voice seemed to affect him in more ways than one sometimes. Watanuki did not know how to react to the mixed feelings triggered by Doumeki’s voice, so he often ended up flailing and yelling at the latter to hide his anxiety.

Sometimes, Watanuki wondered if the tall silhouette he often saw in his dreams was Doumeki, for there was something about the blurry silhouette that reminded him of the young man.

Maybe, just maybe, Watanuki thought, he should spend more time with Doumeki. Maybe then he would find out just what it was about Doumeki that affected him so much.
