Well, the other night I got a call from my sister...It was a big lesson in how the small town I'm from sucks hairy balls(or non-hairy for a few of my friends). She's learning that individuals are not revered, respected nor appreciated in that environment. She told me "now I know what you were talking about...hating this town and wanting out." Though I do know, I wish she had learned from me and not on her own. This however was proceeded by a class meeting. My sister is a senior at a 2A high school and consensus was that everyone wanted to have graduation on the football field....enticing isn't it? A lovely HOT May evening, pantyhose and a great dress, heels sinking into the field, crappy PA system to enjoy even more crappy speeches...oh and let's not forget the mosquitoes. How I do love them...I can't wait for that ceremony. Nevertheless, my sister was able to stand up for herself, spoke her piece and walked out...she called me and told me how great it felt to express herself without regret. All in all, a great day for her. I have always wanted her to understand why I was okay with having unpopular opinions, and now she gets it. So, let's all cheer for my little Munchkin!!
On another note...yes the saga of me getting a phone continues...I went last night to Best Buy to purchase the fab phone I have picked out which is totally on sale! After waiting behind 2 people who were lame I got to the counter and we started the application process...phoned Cingular(the best phone company ever, HotPocket)after setting everything up with them she went to grab my phone only to find that they were out of the black ones, and only had silver left....no thank you. So I continue to wait. Supposedly they will have some tonight...I will call you all when I get it so we can all chat and people can stop whining about how they don't like calling my roommates phone...which really they do like calling, cause it's fun!
It's Labor Day weekend...I'm supposed to be off, cause I'm a laborer and stuff, but it' looks like my boss thinks it would be more efficient if we(meaning just me, it would seem)came to work on Monday. There are 2 owners, and a boss, plus me and my compatriot, and an AM receptionist....the 2 owners will not be here, my compatriot will take at least 1/2 of the day off if not the full day, the AM receptionist will only be here for 3 hours and my boss who has already said she doesn't really want to come in....so that leave me working the whole day at what sounds like regular pay....What the hell? So I will be laboring on Labor Day! My life is so exciting, I love being an adult with a real job!
So a quick shout out to Lor...hey doll!! I hear we will be seeing MCR together...awesome!!! Please don't hit me when I touch Gerard, I bruise easily.
