The comm's audio turns on to the sound of very heavy rain and multiple foot steps as well as a few young-sounding voices talking.]

[Once the rescue team gets there, they'll find Suoh clinging for dear life to a pillar of what's left of the bridge, holding on to Guilmon as tightly as he can. Luckily they're above the water, but the rain and wind is hitting them pretty damn hard.

Suoh's class - Kotemon, Otamamon, Agumon, Kamemon and Penmon, are off on the bank of the canal, trying to throw a rope to them. It's not working very well, though.]

"This looks like a job for Wolfmon!"

Manami's partner evolved in a flash of line, and he tried to throw off his poncho dramatically... only for the wind to blow it back in his face.

Manami sighed, and yanked it off of him. "Takato-kun," she said. "You and your digimon get those Child digimon to safety. Miria-san, you hold on to see if we can't get the Tamer and his partner out of the water."

[Miria shakes her head, slightly annoyed] You know I could just fly over and pluck them out, right?

"... I was trying to show some concern," replied Manami. "You were injured recently... anything could go wrong right now, and it'd be best if your skills were held in reserve for when we really need them...."

Wolfmon rolled his eyes. "Whatever. Can we get to the rescuing now?" he said, as he moved to leap off the bridge. Meanwhile, Takato got into position.

[Suoh's grip is slipping a little, but he's trying to hold on as much as he can. He's far more concerned about losing Guilmon to the rushing canal below.

The Kotemon in the class is getting irritated about the agents arguing, though, and doesn't seem to be paying much attention to Takato.]

Oi! Don't you dare let our teacher down! Hurry up!

[The Penmon tries to calm her classmate down, but she doesn't seem to be very confident.]

K-Kote... calm down... they're trying to help...!

Wolfmon jumped and landed in the water, evolving into WereGarurumon so he could stand in there waist deep. The wolfman held out his hand, bracing himself by digging his claws into the base of the canal.

"Give me your hand!" said the wolf man. But once he had a clear grip on Suoh, Guilmon slipped away, pulled back by the water.

Dang it! [Miria ignites her engines and quickly flies in to snatch up Guilmon before he gets to far down the canal. She gives a sigh as she lifts the reptile out of the water and sets down on solid land.]

[ As Miria caught the Guilmon and landed him safely, he couldn't help a sigh of relief himself. He then rose a hand in the air, raising his voice to a volume which he hoped was loud enough for everyone to hear over the chaos. ]

EVERYONE STANDING AROUND! WE HAVE THE SITUATION UNDER CONTROL! PLEASE FOLLOW ME TO SAFETY!

[ and with that, he and Guilmon started gathering the children and making sure everyone was together before they started crossing the bridge together ]

[Suoh is very grateful to be back on solid ground, but his worry isn't gone until Guilmon is back with him. They're both shivering horribly, but at least for the moment everything is calm.

Well. It is until he hears the bridge creaking again.]

... ! The bridge is collapsing!

[Penmon, at the back of the line of digimon trying to get off with Takato's directions, lets out a scream when the plank she was on snaps. She just barely manages to catch a flipper on the next one, hanging precariously over the canal.

Even if she is a Penmon, that doesn't mean she's going to be able to fight against the current below. And any more weight on the bridge is going to bring the entire thing crashing down.]

AHH! KOTE, HELP ME!

Penny! Hang on!

"Dammit!" shouted Manami. "WereGarurumon! Try to help them!"

"I can try," the wolf grunted, as he tried to slog through the current. "But I'm not exactly aquatic....!"

Takato gasped, eyes widening as he realized that, yes, the bridge was collapsing. Quickly, he looked around to see if there was anything he could use on short notice to help them get across, but his mind was moving several miles a minute, and he couldn't think straight.

So, he did the only thing he could clearly think of.

"GUILMOOOOOON!" He screamed. In an instant, Guilmon was enveloped in a bright light, and moments later, had evolved into Growmon.

Under the weight of Growmon, the bridge fully collapsed ... but before it could, Growmon managed to scoop his tamer and the digimon children into his arms.

His large height guaranteed that Growmon was able to stand in the water, and his weight made it so that he wasn't as easy to be pulled away into the current.

"Hold on," he growled to the children (Takato included; he was currently holding onto Penny with one arm, and Growmon with the other), and began to slowly wade through the water, trying not to topple over with the strong current and make the rescue effort worth nothing.

[Miria was by Growlmon in an instant in her transformed state.] Growlmon, transfer as many of the kids you can to me, I'll transport them to solid ground.

[Across Miria's back, panels opened up where cables could would come out and fasten the kids down so that they could not fall off.]

"You can count on me too!" shouted WereGarurumon, who was now keeping the other side of the bridge from collapsing by supporting it with his own weight.
