"Oh," Nadeshiko said, sitting up straight. "Sakura, honey, are you all right?"
Sakura scrambled to her feet, a slightly sheepish grin on her face. But she gave her mommy a thumbs up and said, "I am just fine!" And then she scampered over and gave Nadeshiko a hug around the waist. "Are you sure you don't mind that I'm wearing the uniform? I'll wear another dress if you really want me too," she said, pulling back just enough to give her mother big, earnest eyes.
Nadeshiko sighed, and patted her daughter on the head. "It's okay, Sakura-chan. Why, if I'd known how cute you'd look in your uniform, I would have had you walking about in it weeks earlier!" At that, Sakura grinned, and wriggled up into her mother's lap. Together they ate breakfast together; Nadeshio and Sakura suceeding in somehow becoming completely covered in syrup.
When Fujitaka came in with Touya trailing him, pleased because his new bike was working again, Sakura and Touya's daddy sighed with a smile, and said, "I'll get the bath water running."

At school, when Sakura and Hikaru saw each other from across the classroom, they both lit up, grinning, and waving, pleased to see that they weren't the only ones with the brilliant idea of trading in the dresses for playable clothing.
Tomoyo and Eagle, however, exchanged a set of glances that, all in all, translated into "You get the teacher to stock up on play clothes, and I'll get the two most adorable creatures on the planet in cute dresses once more."

At least, so long as they were on Hikaru and Sakura's good side, they had a little protection. The fact that the protection was given by two of the scariest kindergarteners Clef had ever seen negated a lot of that consolation, however.
