Newsletter Revival
Hello everyone,
As you all know, the CLAMP fandom newsletter has been dead for well over 2 years because our lovely lady silvermuse89 has been simply too busy to maintain it. I am here in a fresh attempt to revive the community and get things running again, because I think the CLAMP fandom of all fandoms could use a newsletter most of all, what with all its scattered series and the like.
All of the previous co-mods and editors have been removed for the time being. It’s not that I don’t believe in your abilities, mind, but two years is a long, long time and I’m sure many things have changed for many people and on top of that - I don’t know any of you! So for the sake of a fresh start, editor applications and/or mod applications will be up in another post or three. :)
In terms of organisation, my tentative plan focuses on a weekly newsletter with:

- Announcements: Any important announcements from other communities. (This does not include new contests/challenges - see Challenges below.)
- Archives/Websites: Any new fic archives, art archives (note: by this I mean public archives, not personal ones) and/or new CLAMP related websites, the newsletter will link to.
- Challenges: Challenges, tournaments, icontests etc go here.
- Discussions: Rants, complaints, theories, discussion topics will go here.
- News: General news on the antics of our favourite four fanservice ladies. ;D
- Popular Fics: Due to the widespread nature of the CLAMP fandom and the large amounts of fic being written each day, the CLAMP fandom newsletter will not attempt to chronicle every single fic that has been written each week. Instead, it will include new (or relatively new) fics that have been recced at least twice around the fandom (a notion borrowed from the daily_snitch). Organisation of fics will be by fandom, in subbullets, (e.g.,
- Clover: Nameless [pairing, rating] by Anonymous... etc etc
- X/1999: blahblah )
- Popular Art: Same idea as fics above. Submissions (including links to the two recs) can be made to clamp_misc.
- RPGs: New roleplaying games will be linked to here.
- Searches: If anybody is searching for a particular fic or a particular kind of fic, the CLAMP fandom newsletter will link to their search here. However, really common searches (e.g. I want a Kuro x Fai fic!) won’t count.
