Past Themes

May 28, 2005 09:41

This is the list of all the themes we've run in the past here at CLAMP Icontest, well except for the provided image/base themes as I have yet to get all those together. It mainly exists as a resource for members and/or winners of the Submitter of the Month contests that wish to compare their own ideas before suggesting/selecting any new challenge themes.

QUOTE/PROVERB/VERSE
"A question that sometimes drives me hazy: am I or are the others crazy?" by Albert Einstein
"All that we see or seem is but a dream within a dream." by Edgar Allen Poe
"An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind." by Mahatma Ghandi
'But I don't want to go among mad people,' Alice remarked. 'Oh, you can't help that,' said the Cat: 'we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad.' 'How do you know I'm mad?' said Alice. 'You must be,' said the Cat, 'or you wouldn't have come here.' by Lews Carroll
"Carpe Diem" and/or "Seize the Day" by Unknown
"Cowards die many times before their deaths; the valiant never taste of death but once." by William Shakespeare
"Death lies on her, like an untimely frost upon the sweetest flower of all the field" by William Shakespeare
"Fly free and happy beyond birthdays and across forever, and we'll meet now and then when we wish, in the midst of the one celebration that never can end.” by Richard Bach
"Have the courage to live. Anyone can die." by Robert Cody
"Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow." by Albert Einstein
"Limitations live only in our minds. But if we use our imaginations, our possibilities become limitless" by Jamie Paolinetti
"Live and let live" by Unknown
"March comes in like a lion, and goes out like a lamb." by Unknown
“Tears are words the heart can't express” by Unknown
"The most important kind of freedom is to be what you really are. You trade in your reality for a role. You trade in your sense for an act. You give up your ability to feel, and in exchange, put on a mask. There can't be any large-scale revolution until there's a personal revolution, on an individual level. It's got to happen inside first. You can take away a man's political freedom and you won't hurt him- unless you take away his freedom to feel. That can destroy him. That kind of freedom can't be granted. Nobody can win it for you." by Jim Morrison
"The most wonderful of all things in life, I believe, is the discovery of another human being with whom one's relationship has a glowing depth, beauty, and joy as the years increase. This inner progressiveness of love between two human beings is a most marvelous thing, it cannot be found by looking for it or by passionately wishing for it. It is a sort of Divine accident." by Sir Hugh Walpole
"The only difference between saints and sinners, is that every saint has a past while every sinner has a future" by Oscar Wilde
“The unreal is more powerful than the real. Because nothing is as perfect as you can imagine it. Because it's only intangibles, ideas, concepts, beliefs, fantasies that last. Stone crumbles. Wood rots. People, well, they die. But things as fragile as a thought, a dream, a legend, they can go on and on.” by Chuck Palahniuk
“Yesterday is but today's memory, tomorrow is today's dream.” by Kahlil Gibran
