Submit: Week 421 (sports)

So I think it's about time to go back to standard weekly challenges here at clamp_icontest. I had fun experimenting with a change of pace (and I'll still do special challenges every so often) but the consistency will be good for me ^^' Now, since the icontest community is very slow these days, I've decided to make some changes to my approach, things I've learned from running the smaller TCG Icontest:

1. There will only be one theme. It seems a waste of effort to choose three themes each week, when we get so few submissions, but I will still keep them varied.
2. You will be able to submit a maximum of 3 different icons. I avoided doing this because multiple winners can be kind of sad, but with participation levels being what they are, let's just embrace the few eager members we have left
3. I will allow myself as the moderator to submit one 1-3 icons each week (edit: on second thought, the amount of icons I submit will depend on how many other members have entered to make voting more lively e.g. one entrant = three submissions, etc. depending also on how much free time I have of course) to compete and will also vote to be fair. I promise that I will never ever even think about cheating, but when in doubt, I can simply unscreen voting for someone who is worried I have
4. Extensions will be avoided like the plague and I'm doing away with my minimum expectations. As long as we have at least two entries (otherwise it'll just be a showcase of the default) and one vote, voting/results will be as follows: 2-4 icons = 1 placement, 5-7 icons = 2 placements, 8-9 icons = 3 placements and 10+ icons = 4 placements (special category added)

Of course I hope that things will be more active than all of that, but this is the reality of the times we're in so it's best to be prepared ^^' I'm just not ready to give up on this place. But enough rambling, I'll update the profile later, for now let's get started fresh!

The theme for Week 421 is as follows, you may submit three different CLAMP icons provided they each fit the challenge below. A list of series and galleries are available here for your convenience.

Technical: Sports
The character(s) in your icon must be either playing a sport or wearing sports gear/using sports equipment. I'll count any type of physical activity that you can compete in as a sport, but ask frst if you're unsure.

Please submit your icon(s) by uploading it/them to an outside host that allows direct linking, then leave a screened comment to this post with your icon, url, theme, character (object/location) and series. Also include any additional required information and/or specific resource credits that you may have used.

Submission Rules
Do's
- You must be a member to participate, three icons per person (excludes multiple accounts)
- The icon(s) must be made by you, this includes not stealing icons or copying tutorials
- Your icon(s) must feature imagery from a CLAMP series (anime/manga) or artwork*
*Only Code Geass illustrations drawn by CLAMP themselves are allowed, no anime/manga/etc.
- It must meet LJ requirements (100x100 and 40 kb or less, gif/jpg/png format)
- It should be recently made to fit the theme and kept anonymous/secret throughout

Do Not's
- Do not use/distribute/advertise your submission publicly/reveal your identity
- Doujinshi/Fanart/Cosplay images are not allowed, you must use official art only
- Refrain from using any sexually explicit imagery (exposed private parts) or overly coarse language*
*Graphic violence, artistic/suggestive nudity (with hidden private parts) and mild profanity is ok

Other's
- Please credit outside sources (e.g. brushes, textures, bases, lyrics, quotes)
- You may provide translations/definitions (e.g. foreign languages, tiny text, large words)
- If submitting an icon variation to a current & anonymous icontest, check with both mods
- If you change/edit your submission let me know so I can replace/upload the right one

If something is amiss with your submission I will reply/inform you of it and give you a chance to either resubmit the icon or fix the comment depending. It is at my discretion to disqaulify you for failure to follow these guidelines.

You have until Friday, July 11th at 11:00 PM Eastern to submit. A comment will be left when submissions are officially closed, no late entries will be accepted at that time.
