Sakura was crying.
The electricity had gone out an hour earlier, and the only thing that lit her bedroom was a single candle sitting on the desk. She was huddled on her bed, whimpering and shaking every time she heard thunder, her face was wet from tears.
Sakura hated storms and being alone in the dark. Why did her father and older brother have to be away at a time like this?
Suddenly, her bedroom door opened, causing Sakura to jump. There stood Touya, drenched with water, guilty for leaving his little sister alone.
“I’m sorry I couldn’t come sooner.”
