Title: Inexpressibility
Rating: PG-13 for implied naughtiness
Summary: Something Nick lets slip makes David see him in a new light.
Author's Notes: Still dumping meme fics. This one was written for a one-word Clameron fest I think amyrisa organised ages ago. The document is dated March 2011 so presumably that's when I wrote it. Its, um, short is all I can ( Read more... )

Dumping is a rather merciless sort of word :P but so long as it lets me re-read more of your writing, dump away ;)
I remember this one from the meme, though I can't remember if I commented - IIRC it was about last Feb or March and I pretty much only commented on Campaign those couple of months. And I had no idea it was yours, but it certainly painted an intriguing picture!

It's actually quite entertaining to go through these old fics. I found that writing anon in very small chunks meant I felt free to explore ideas that didn't really warrant a proper story without feeling the need to hone them to perfection.

As far as dumping goes, I think there are three or four more I'll post here. There's also a very porny one I'll think about posting here - as a dedicated stalker, you know the one I mean ;) - and one I'll definitely leave buried in the meme. Taking stock of what I've written so far, I actually think this has been one of my most prolific fandoms!

I am pretty sure i know which one you mean, and even though I may have it saved, I look forward to reacquainting myself with it here - as well as seeing any others you may feel like posting, even though your posting them now reminds me enough of "spring cleaning" to make me sad. But of course now you leave me dying of curiosity about the one you intend to leave buried ( ... )

Thanks for re-posting! I liked the premise - and the execution. David's 'I'm concentrating' expression and Nick stalling on the first person singular were lovely touches, immediately recognisable!

I also quite like the fact that we didn't find out what actually happened with the rope. The possibilities are left wide open...

Sorry, I've realised I never responded to this comment. Thank you very much - I tend to notice the little ticks and habits of people I write about and feel the urge to point them out in fic. I'm amazed nobody makes more of Nick's stuttering to be honest. And David's lolsome facial expressions, of course.

I thought I would leave the details about the rope up to David's imagination. :)

I've just realised that a)I never saw this on the meme, and b) I never commented when I read it here! For shame, self.

Poor David. What an awful thing to be stuck with in your head and no way to make it come true. *grin*

Thank you very much! It was only a one-comment off-the-cuff thing. I have some other stories I must pull out and post as well when I have a minute!
