I finished a Chemo cap [pattern is
ZeeBee] tonight with a soft, fuzzy wool blend called Teddy by Stahl sche Wolle. It's a novelty yarn - two individual plies of a thick & thin with slubs /boucle loops and a binder thread [I guess that means it's technically a cabled yarn]. The color is a nice orange-chestnut brown solid color. Now if only I could reliably get to the YMCA knitting group to donate it...
It's a pattern I'd do again if I wanted a basic hat, and I got to learn garter grafting. I'd pick a smoother yarn however. With this stuff, the garter ridges are basically lost, and grafting is a PITA. With the use of a movable stitch marker, this made for good distracted knitting [i.e. knitting while trying to watch & referee young kids]. Don't expect a picture anytime soon. I might get my act together & actually take a picture, but then it'll take a bit to actually get it to flickr & link to it. Not yet worth the time to do.
