I now work for the airline. That in itself is just awesomeness. I get PAID to travel. Well...provided it is work related.
After 6 months I can basically fly any where in the world save North America, go figure.
Normally I live in Puvirnituq AKA POV. Except the station supervisor really does not like me. So much in fact that he refuses to work with me period. EVEN when I work at another station. Until things ease up there I am currently in LaGrande. It's an interesting area. There are trees here still but you can see the environment changing. Next week I will be based in Kuujjuaq. Although this is all northern Quebec (AKA Nunavik) we are still talking huge distances. Like 5 hour plane rides...that's like Montreal to Calgary distances and beyond. INSANE. But so much fun and often a little intense.
Right now it feels like I'm on holiday save when I get home to the staff house. Then I have to deal with drama. My roommate broke up with his girlfriend Monday but she is still at the house. There's tons of friction. Plus he is trying to get with me on the side which just screams trouble.
Really?
How does wierd crap happen to me so much?
On the plus side, I will be headed to a wedding at the end of the month in Calgary. I am looking forward to it but trying to decide if I should rent a car or what. Also hoping that IF invited to the reception (I think I am but the invite was a little fuzzy on that detail)that there will be assigned seating because really....I don't know who else will be there and of the people I do know not sure how many will want to sit with me willingly since I am the groom's ex as well.
Just to make my life more interesting of course.
Also did I mention I was in the hospital last week? Thursday Friday and Saturday? 1/2 at the hospital in POV with either blood clot or infection of the leg as a conclusion. In Montreal blood clot was ruled out and they refused to treat for the infection.
Last week was insane. Friday I went from POV to Montreal to hospital
Saturday hospital then Boston, MA
Sunday Marblehead/Harwichport (Cape Cod)
Monday Yarmouth (CapeCod)
Tuesday Montreal
Wednesday POV
Thursday Montreal (after an intense Hazardous Goods course)
Friday EXHAUSTION
