The important stuff out of the way, in a moment of utter, utter geekdom I've bought and received Harrius Potter et Philosophi Lapis to help me along with learning Latin. Yes, you heard it here first, Clairybell's decided to teach herself another (dead) language. It's going quite well, actually. I've done all the verb conjugations, and the first and second declension nouns and I seem to be doing okay with the translations, but I'd forgotten how hard it is to learn a new language when you don't have reams of vocabulary immediately to hand. But hey, that'll come with time. Let's face it, it's been a good few thousand years since anyone learned Latin as a live language, so I reckon I stand a fairly good chance of getting the hang of it, if I put the work in.
