Round one is over now, having left a few inches of snow. Round two is on it's way with a mix of snow, freezing rain and sleet, according to the predictions. The morning drive won't be easy or pretty. :(
I'm so geeked to see large scale animals like that.
As for the snow, we got dumped on worse than predicted. Schools are closed, yet I made it to the office without too much trouble. The snow removal guy's plow broke in my driveway. Bummer.
My brother-in-law has a house on ten acres outside of Howell. There's an open field across the gravel road, surrounded by timber. Driving in, we often see anywhere from a dozen to 20 deer, which is so awesome to see.
When I'd visit their family, I'd stay in a bedroom at the back of the house that had a view from the bottom of a small rise. Every now and then, I'd see deer standing at the top of the rise, especially beautiful at sunrise.

Deer are plentiful up here, so I'm inclined to think of them as rodents. It's a nice reminder that they can be pretty, too. *g*

And speaking of rodents, we have more squirrels and chipmunks here than you can shake a stick at.

I hope the storm won't be too hard on you.

Lovely. A reminder of just how amazing nature is.
