Politics

I voted yesterday for the first time in a real booth. It was one of the proudest moments of my life.

For those not politically aware, yesterday was the democratic primaries, and in CT, it was a huge one, with incumbent Joe Lieberman vs. Ned Lamont. Lieberman was not only a three term senator but also the vice-presidential nominee in 2000. But in CT, he's gotten extremely unpopular, so that political unknown, Lamont won the primary.

This is a big deal. Like national news big. This victory is a huge foreshadowing of whats to come for midterm elections. Its our responsibility to change what we don't like, and Lamont winning is prime example of what happens when people take that responsibility.

As I walked out of the booth, the old people clapped for me and said, "never stop voting." I won't.
