It was dark, and I couldn't remember seeing more stars. It had been cloudy and wet all day in Oslo, but that night on the hill in Nittedal, the sky was clear and cold. Susie and I were speechless. I guess Bets told you why we missed your call. All our
phones are locked in the trunk of your car to punish
the Ham. She jeered: "See? We missed the call because
the phones were locked up."
I said, "If the phones were not locked up, you'd have
had the line tied up, blabbing. So we wouldn't have
received the call anyway."

By the way, I'm really enjoying your blog, although I
have been unable to comment on it. The Norway stuff
made me weepish. I love the way you describe things,
such as the feeling there's some great creative work
inside you.
It's also exciting to see your relationship with
Elisabeth taking on a life of its own. (In
it's-all-about-Rick terms, I feel like I planted the
seed of something wonderful and now it's thriving.

It's so good to actually see some of the places you are visiting. By the way, they had houses with sod roofs in Husavik, Iceland too! Those crazy Scandanavians. (I like the idea. I think that in one of the Little House on the Prarie books they lived in a sod house... I'm sorry I'm such a geek!) BUT, I wanted to tell you that I MAILED a letter to you today. I know I know, it took me over two months... I'm terrible. But I wanted to make sure you were anxiously checking your mailbox as much as I was for YOUR letter. :)
