On Tuesday, last week, Dave Ballard and I presented our scene in acting class. We did a scene from Angels in America by Tony Kushner. David played a closeted Mormon, and I played his "mentally-deranged, sex-starved, pill-popping housewife." I got to yell and speak poetic text. It was perfect. In reality, no one else wanted to work with him. ( Read more... )

After much stress and anxiety, I finally got my Australian circus application out today. I'll show you the video when you come home! I was just sooo nervous about sending it out and also fearing the possibility of rejection. I never wholly understood what Veronica felt, to have your future hinging on some damn institution accepting you to their place, but now I'm getting a taste of it.

Anyway, I'd love to meet and entertain your circus friend. Let him know that the school in San Fransisco isn't so much as a school; they offer classes in trapeze and stuff. Its a bit limited in say juggling or clowning or other stuff, but its fine if you want to learn trapeze. It just doesn't quite seem like the right training environment, about the earnesty you would put into taking a Yoga class... you really dig it, but your not delving your life into it. At least thats my impression of that place.

Other than that, Boston was fun, Chris came up and we met Veronica on Saturday after she was overjoyed with her last crew race. OVERJOYED, let me tell you. It may be a different image for you, but this was sporty Veronica, talking about how good the burn was.

So get ready because its election season and we finally get to stop stressing over whether we can get Bush out of office or not. And hey, if he's re-elected, maybe we could get him impeached for war crimes or something. I know a good punishment. Put him and Saddam together in a jail cell and make a reality tv show about it!

Anyway, I miss you. Hope all is fun and that you are having well...ness. Yup.

love ya
matt
