We went to a birthday party last night, and on the way there "The Lonely Goatherd" from The Sound of Music came on my Zune. Will said, "Mommy, I love this song!" We listened to it a couple times because, really, it doesn't take much to convince me to listen to songs from The Sound of Music. ;) On our way home, Will said, "Mommy, listen to Lee Lo?" I couldn't figure out what he was talking about, but he meant "The Lonely Goatherd." I thought calling it "Lee Lo" was pretty impressive...and when they'd yodel in the song, that's what Will would sing...lee lo, lee lo, lee lo. It was pretty accurate for a two year old! John's kind of concerned about Will's love for a song from Sound of Music, but I think it's awesome!
Other songs he loves include:
Come Together by The Beatles
Black Horse and the Cherry Tree by KT Tunstall
I'm Shipping Up to Boston by Dropkick Murphys (from "The Departed")
What can I say, I have a cool kid!
