i walk through the empty streets
arms tied behind my back
feeling better than before
my eyes are bruised the skin turned black
i saw so much i couldn't know
you should have told me not to go
now i'm new, but you're still old
don't wanna fight, give up and fold
battle's not won and lost just yet
it's not long til we gotta jet
leave the dirty lies behind,
so we can each have our own free mind
the sky was clear but the rain of a war we couldn't stop
was falling on us, trying to drown out our voices
authorities tell everyone we're wrong, try to convince even us that we have no say. even the cops were hiding behind riot gear, they can't face the future, neither can the politicians that run this country, into the ground.
today we had a diversity assembly. it was okay, although very long. the rest of the day i felt sick so i slacked off a bit. 6th period was spent looking up weird phobias and cracking up over them, and gossipping with ruhi and hailey. it was a lot of fun. downtown was pointless, but ilona bought me yummy food, and it was good to talk to her although i was very quiet, and i felt bad. all i could do was complain. but hey. this weekend should be fun, or it better be. if not..then...uh...yeah! that's right! go run and hide now.

p.s.: thanks to everyone i've been hanging out with (sharie, ryan, jesica, and everyone at the protests) i had a lot of fun and have been quite happy. but tired. and i need a shower, the hairspray will make me look like a dumbfuck if left on overnight.
