so the big freeze has hit york then.
-3 degrees here today, without an extra windchill of a few degrees, and it just so happens to be the day when i'm outside walking from one place to another for about 3 hours, hmm. i got home about 3 hours ago and i've just about warmed up, whilst wearing 3 layers, drinking numerous hot cups of tea and sitting in front of a heater. and they say it's not colder up north.....
in other news, i've decided to go to braunschweig in germany for my year abroad, don't worry if you've never heard of it, i haven't either, just like i'd never heard of either of the other two choices, Erfurt and Regensburg. it's in the north, fairly close to hannover, so not too far from a main airport (reason 1 for choosing it) and my two best mates on my course are going there too (reason 2) oh and it looks like a pretty nice place....i'm not superficial, honest.
(obviously you are all now immediately looking up flight prices and planning visits to come and see me already, aren't you? yes?)
