"Out of the chair" - My weekend made of awsome <333

My weekend was just plain awsome!

Friday was a very touching evening.
I went to a charity concert that was being held for a collegue of my mum's. He has the Lou Gehrig's diease and will die in the next years. He's in a wheelchair now and can't speak anymore, so his friends wanted to collect money so he can make much needed adjustments to his house and maybe have a nice holiday with his family (he has a wife and three little children).
I was afraid the evening would be depressing, but I was surprised to find it was very positive and cheerful. Many bands and groups from Cologne participated without payment- including "Höhner" and "Bläck Fööß" who are very popular in Cologne and Germany for their carnival music (you might already know that Cologne is very big with carnival)...
I took a video from a song Bläck Fööß played- it's about what we love about our hometown (a reminder not needed that evening, because we were sure something like that concert for a single person was so uniquely Cologne like nothing else...).
It was a very touching moment- I was proud I was able to hold up my mobile all the time while crying.
Don't worry if you don't get the lyrics- it's not only German, but the accent spoken in Cologne.
Click to viewSaturday I went to the gym with my friend Svenja (five times last week and only 40% were because of trainer hottie Martin ^_^) and then to the "Cologne Whine Days" with my mum and three of her friends (I have more of a "BFF"-relationship with my mum).
We had some whine and then went to her friend Ingo's flat to watch the European Song Contest"- Holy Crap for Norway winning this...
Not much more to say about that evening, beside that it was very much fun =)
Today my boyfriend Daniel and I went to the cinema to watch "Star Trek".
We went to a little independant cinema to watch it in English (since we both speak English almost as good as German it's so much more fun).
Daniel didn't really like the movie since he is a real "Trekkie", but for me- who doesn't really like the old stuff- I loved it!!!!
The humor was great and I loved the action...
And OMG I love the ship Spock/Uhura!!!
Very much like me to find something to ship whatever you show me... But I blame Zachary and him making that cold fish of a Vulcan actually be some weird kind of sexy... The eyebrow of awsomeness <333
Can't wait for the DVD to make a video of those two *_*
I wish all weekends were like this one <333
