My older cat likes it. She is cuddled up next to me. I am drinking some jasmine tea from my "Go away, I am reading" mug.
It says I am 35% done it. At that point, I paused it to watch a CFR clip about what the US is thinking about doing with China. (CFR stands for Council on Foreign Relations - I have been reading emails from them for maybe two years or so...?)
While I was thinking about the particulars of International Relations, I unpaused my audiobook.
I am on Chapter 7 (of Adversity for Sale). The author described writing songs, and what happens with him is different with me. I guess one has to follow different rules for different genres.
I don't know how many chapters long it is but if I am 39% of the way through then it is probably 18 chapters long. I mean, right? Wow, I got exactly 38.888889 from the calculator when I checked my guess!
Well, umm. There are an awful lot of mathematicians related to me, it seems. Or, at least two or three my mother had told me about, but at the same time, I don't want to get pestered about doing property surveys.
Two times so far I almost got too panicked and had to stop the audiobook but I made it through my panic attacks. (I mean, technically I don't think they were full attacks since psychologically I could still function but this afternoon was still somewhat alarming.)
At a bit before the halfway point (48%) my father declared to me he was off to get a trailer. He told me twice before that was what he wanted to do. I think he wanted to get one for some kind of academic function that his colleagues were talking about - I don't know all the details.
So it says five holds are ready for whenever I show up next at the library, so I need to finish one more of my library books to remain at library book par.
I might want to renew my Putin underling book rather than hurry with it. After all, I struggled for years or at least semesters with Russian to the point it is not worth giving up with it.
I think it is a good idea to at least continue reading it: the book is called "All the Kremlin's Men," by Mikhail Zygar, even if the chick lit is faster and easier to comprehend.
