Well, I've asked a set of my professors for recommendations to go to Russia next year, but the most useful ones told me they wouldn't recommend me for x, y, or z reason. What they say is valid, I won't discount anything! But it's a little frustrating.
That is OK.
Hahaha, Polsky pretty much told me to ask someone else since he thought rather poorly of my in-class performance (as I'm sure Dr Kirschenbaum would echo) but then to keep him updated on what happens. I'd bet Kirschenbaum would be curious, too. I replied that what he told me came in handy when I visited China last summer, with affirmation. I'll have to return to primary usage of my home email, but that is fine. I pretty much have to finish up reading what I have on this computer before I get the next one in January.
I've read the English copy of W&P on this, and learned the beginnings of Chinese - um, 對, 沒有 and that's about it.
I like reading what Tom Peters has to say about leadership in the business setting, even if it may be unimportant for what I do for University.
