Ameliorating a linking issue!
Well, I tried to link someone to an upcoming event for which I'm extremely excited, but I couldn't find it immediately, so I'm announcing officially so I can refer to this instead.
The week before my 21st birthday, the 14th of May, proletariat_x shall treat me to nice seats at the Philadelphia Opera House to see Verdi's La Traviata. I mean, I was only expecting unobstructed view Amphitheatre seats, since ahh, opera is expensive, but noo, he's spoiling me with Family Circle seats! *gawk* As a Music Major struggling through proper conduct in returning assignments reasonably in theory, I'm absolutely floored. And he told me if I didn't like him anymore by that point, I could still have the tickets. I'm very startled. He also spoils me by not smelling weird. o_o;;; I must have wrongly put up with bizarre poor shit.
I've been rambling about this but had no handy link to say "Guess what? I'm wandering off to the opera very shortly! :D"

When I went to see Mozart's Marriage of Figaro in 2006 or '07, I didn't mention it here on LJ at all. O_o I don't know wherefore, especially since it was pretty excellent, despite the attempt at "modernization".
