Ky almost lost his composure taking the bottle. Oh how he lusted for that sweet, sweet, WONDERFUL tea he had heard of. Attempts to contain himself were futile as he opened the bottle and took a large gulp of the chilled brew. With a satisfied sigh and a wiping of his mouth, he smiled happily.

"Simply wonderful! Your mother has impeccable brewing skills!" the boy said excitedly.

Jam giggled- Ky was soimply adorable when he tasted something delicious, and luckily for her that meant most of the time! "Do you think she would share her brewing recipe aru ka? I'd like to make it myself sometime aru," she asked Venom, setting down the bundle of cooking supplies in her arms onto a tabletop. "Okay.. was there anything in particular you wanted to learn to cook aru ka? Or did you just want me to teach you some general stuff and then make us some supper aru ka?" She beamed a smile between the two boys, proud her skills could help.

"Thank you, Ky. I'll definitely let her know you enjoyed it!" Trevor smiled warmly. He turned to Jam. "I can ask her, but no promises since that recipe's been guarded for years," Trevor responded. "As for what to teach, perhaps some basics would be in order." He sat down at the table, ready to soak in some new knowledge.

Ky took a few more gulps before finally capping the bottle and setting it aside. "Basics indeed. How about we start out with a basic, inexpensive dinner anyone can find ingredients for? Noodles!" he suggested happily.

Jam unloaded her basketfull of stuff and flipped a book open for Venom. "I brought along a cook book specifically for beginners, you can borrow it if you want to aru," she explained. "Noodles are a wonderful idea, Ky-kun aru~ I have some ramen noodles right here aru," she smiles, pulling out a package of egg noodles. "Now the trick to cooking pasta is to watch the boiling water- if it gets too hot, the pasts will boil over and get hard and burnt aru. So, you have to be very careful to stir it when it begins to bubble aru." She explains to Venom, handing him the noodles. "Here, you can try, and I'll coach you ary. Start by getting a pot of water and setting it to boil on the stove aru."

"Right." Venom nodded and started fishing around for a pot. He found one in a lower cabinet, so he brought it to the sink. He began filling it with water. "How much water should I fill it with, Jam?"

"Only about three-quarters, counting for how the heat will expand the mass of the water at boiling," Ky offered, nodding sagely.

Jam nods brightly at Ky. "You're so smart Ky-kun aru! Yes, that's exactly right, and then you just put the pot on the stove at boiling point- um.. is this Celcius of Fahrenheit aru ka..?" She ehes, since all 3 of them are from countries that use Celcius and the stove might be an American one measuring Fahrenheit. "Oh good, it has both aru. So, go to boiling point here.. and then you wait until the water is boiling, and that's when you put the noodles in aru," she explains.

And now they wait.

"It makes sense. You'd think I'd figure that one out..." Trevor filled the pot according to their instructions and placed it on one of the burners. He turned the stove on and adjusted the knob do the desired flame level.

As they waited Trevor had a nerd moment. He reached into the cupboard and retrieved a salt shaker. "And it just hit me. A bit of salt will raise its boiling point. I'm going to add a little if that's okay with you, Miss Jam."

(OOC: Ky said to just keep going)

Jam nodded brightly at Venom. "That's right aru! Just a bit though aru," she advised. While they waited, Jam flipped through the cookbook she had brought, trying to find a suitable lesson to go through next. They'd have noodles down, so perhaps meat preperation was in order..

"Have you ever made meatballs from scratch, Venom aru ka?"

"I'm afraid not." Trevor added a pinch of salt to the pot. "Though I'm pretty sure we have the ingredients for it. What will we need?" He looked through the book with Jam.

Jam clears her throat gently. "1 pound of fresh ground hamburger, breadcrumbs, and egg, seasonings aru..." She goes on to list the ingredients for Venom, looking with him to see if they have the needed things in the house.

As Jam read off the list, Trevor grabbed the items. "Looks like mum went food shopping recently. I don't think we have egg, but I do have that egg white stuff." He pulled the little carton out of the fridge.

"I hope this will be okay with you, Miss Jam."

"Hmm.. it should work aru. It just works to stick everything together aru. Okay, now a BIG bowl to mix it all in. I... hope you're okay with getting your hands dirty aru," she giggles. Hamburger mooooshing is a stocky process!

Trevor washed his hands and watched Jam throw everything into the bowl. A pinch of this, and a dash of that. It was amazing how fluid everything was. To be able to cook so easily. Trevor was actually envious of her... and her and Ky, but that's another story.

"So just mix it together, like this?" He dipped both hands in the bowl and began kneading everything together.

Jam nods encouragingly, watching over him like a sensei as he prepares the meat, quipping every once and awhile about how things could be made easier, about watching the consistancy of the mix, until the meat is deemed ready. "Okay, now you need a pan to cook them on prepared aru. Roll them up into balls and place them onto the pan, evenly spaced aru."
