The good thing about the Chili in the cafeteria is that nobody really touches it. It didn't really look at all that appetizing. Looking into the pot, it looks like bubbling molten lava just about to explode...
...and that was the start of Killua's little prank.
He was never the Science Geek, but he had to admit that it was useful at times. For example, calculating the perfect angle to assassinate a British diplomat from his hotel room. In fact, he was doing pretty much his best not to have his grades stand out too much.
He found it too boring to use this knowledge for the Science Club or Math Club. He certainly didn't want to be labeled as a Geek.
It was easy enough to do... just using the same ingredients to make a home-made volcano. It was done. Disguised as one of the cooks, he knew he just needed to do one more thing... and it was just--- ready to blow.
