What: Due to a grant received from the federal government, the library is being re-supplied with some new books.

Due to a grant having been received from the government specifically for the restocking of the shelves of her library, Maggie and her sister had gone out to shop for books. When they went to shop for books, it took perhaps several days at a time, and with a seven thousand, five hundred dollar grant, they were able to get quite a few good, new books for their shelves. This was now day four of cleaning out the shelves of the library yet again, only this time they were being forced to get rid of books, perish the thought!
Maggie, therefore, was in a perpetual state of melancholy. They were not allowed to just take the books they were getting rid of, since they were still technically school property, so she had to follow the rules set forward in the library codebook and offer them to students for a small price, and then throw them away, god forbid!
The front of the library had stacks and stacks of books with quick-written tags on each pile: $.25, $.50, and the like.
